Romans claim 2006 Softball Championship!

The Romans earned the 2006 YAM-NW Softball Championship with sound defense and solid hitting. After receiving the No. 2 seed with a 4-4 record, the Romans pounced on the Egyptians in the semifinal by scoring multiple runs in the first four innings of a 17-6 contest.

Then, in the championship the Romans took a 1-0 lead in the first inning off a home run and never relinquished the advantage against the Greeks, the regular season champion.

After the starting the season with a 3-0 record, the Romans finished the season with a subpar 1-4 record before making their run through the YAM-NW Softball playoffs.

The Greeks earned the runner-up playoff position by finishing with a 6-3 record and the Egyptians, which earned the ‘Team Spirit Award’ finished third with a 2-7 record.
